Charlie Crist’s campaign released its first TV ad in the Florida governor’s race on Monday, reminding voters of the former governor’s longtime fight for Florida’s middle class.
“Sunshine” a positive spot to reflect “who our campaign is about: Florida’s middle-class families and seniors, whose lives have gotten harder under Rick Scott,” said Crist Campaign Manager Omar Khan. “Charlie Crist understands the stress they’re facing every day – that’s why he’s always fought for them and that’s why he’ll fight for them again as Governor.”
Crist is a former Republican now running as the likely Democratic candidate to face incumbent GOP Gov. Rick Scott in November.
The 30-second digital ad reminds voters of Crist’s record as governor of cutting property taxes, saving teachers’ jobs, as well as his commitment to raising the minimum wage, equal pay for women and restoring Gov. Rick Scott’s funding cuts to education.
“That’s who I fought for every day as your governor,” Crist says in the spot. “I’ll fight for you…from sunrise to sunset. I always have and I always will.”
“Sunshine” is also available on YouTube.
