After a hard-fought (and expensive) campaign for Florida governor, both Charlie Crist and Rick Scott are busy making their respective Election Night plans.
Democrat Crist will be spending the night close to home, with a major watch party at the Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort on the downtown waterfront. Crist is a native of the area, and currently lives less than a mile from the Vinoy.
In preparation — with additional details forthcoming in the next few weeks — Crist’s campaign has begun reserving blocks of rooms at both the Vinoy and several area hotels for the press and supporters.
RSVPs and more information for the Crist event is at [email protected], using the subject line “Election Night Event.”
Republican Gov. Scott and First Lady Ann Scott will also visit southwest Florida to take in the night’s election results, with a “Let’s Keep Working” event Tuesday, November 4.
Scott’s party begins 6:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point, 5001 Coconut Road in Bonita Springs. A VIP reception will be at 7 p.m.
