Charlie Crist, Rick Scott each raise approximately $1.5 mil in March

When Charlie Crist launched last year year his campaign for Florida governor, no one expected him to outraise Republican incumbent Rick Scott.

However, for two straight months, Crist — via his campaign and political committee — has kept pace with Scott, according to records posted with the Florida Division of Elections. 

In March, Crist raised $585,940 for his campaign and $940,870 for “Charlie Crist for Florida.” All told, that’s $1,526,810

Scott raised $1,196,571 for his campaign and $361,910 for “Let’s Get To Work.” $1,555,481.

Of course, Scott has a huuugggeee head-start on Crist, having already raised more than $25 million for “Let’s Get To Work.”
