In an effort to have more “boots on the ground” in the race for his old job as Florida governor, the Charlie Crist campaign is opening its first South Florida campaign field office Tuesday night.
The Charlie Crist for Governor Campaign Headquarters will be in Broward County, located at 320 South University Drive in Plantation.
“Floridians deserve a Governor who will work with Republicans, Democrats, and Independents to strengthen small businesses that create jobs, cut wasteful spending, and restore deep cuts to public schools,” Crist said in a statement. “We are committed to having the boots on the ground to make that happen, and that starts in Broward County.”
To introduce the new office, Democratic candidate will be on hand at the celebration event Tuesday, April 15 beginning at 5:00 p.m.
“We are a metrics and data driven campaign and a huge part of that will be our grassroots field operation,” said Crist Campaign Manager Omar Khan. “Broward County is critically important to Governor Crist, so we’re excited to get started there.”
