Charlie Crist’s fundraising is ending January on a high note.

Charlie Crist for Florida, a political committee backing the Democratic candidate for governor, picked-up just over $300,000 during the past week according to the latest campaign finance documents.

Included in this latest haul are two $100,000 checks, proving that Crist is taking advantage of the new campaign finance regulations to raise money in unlimited amounts.

The Ferraro Law Group and investor Monte Friedkin of Weston each wrote six-figure checks.

Even with these contributions, Crist’s efforts trail significantly those of Rick Scott and an affiliated committee. Scott raised $490,000 — on just one day and from a single donor.
