Quoting Proverbs and drawing a contrast between him and incumbent Bill Foster, mayoral hopeful Rick Kriseman is out this morning with an announcement video launching his campaign.

The 51-year-old Democrat will make his formal announcement Monday. He told the Tampa Bay Times he can offer better leadership than incumbent Bill Foster on issues including replacing The Pier and negotiating with the Tampa Bay Rays regarding their future in the region.

“There hasn’t been any real vision,” Kriseman said of Foster’s leadership. 

The most intriguing lines from this announcement video come at the 1:15 mark. “I know the Mayor,” says Kriseman. “We served together for many years. He’s a good person. I just don’t think he’s the right person to move us forward.”
