In the race for House District 65, Republican Chris Sprowls far outpaced his opponents while breaking the $100,000-raised mark according to filings with the Florida Division of Elections

Sprowls reported another $6,250 last month to his campaign for the north Pinellas County seat, for a total of $103,496.

HD 65 covers the cities of Tarpon Springs, Dunedin, Palm Harbor and East Lake.

Sprowls’ Democratic opponent, incumbent state Rep. Carl “Z” Zimmermann, received only $525 during the same period and now has raised $44,410.

Debbie Ann Faulkner, the only other Republican in the HD 65 race, filed a waiver of report for December.
