Christopher Nolan discusses controversy surrounding Bane’s voice in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

Yes, we all know a lot of people have an issue with Tom Hardy’s voice in The Dark Knight Rises. We’ve discussed it, you’ve discussed it, and now Christopher Nolan and his brother Jonathan Nolan have given there thoughts on his voice and the fans reaction.

Here’s what Chris Nolan recently told EW in an interview…

I think when people see the film, things will come into focus. Bane is very complex and very interesting and when people see the finished film people will be very entertained by him.

Jonathan Nolan added to that when talking to CraveOnline saying…

I gotta tell you, I think what Tom Hardy’s doing with the role is spectacular. I have the benefit of seeing a little bit more than the audience has seen at this point. It’s pretty spectacular.

There’s never been any doubt in my head that Bane is going to end up being one of the most insane villains ever put on film. I imagine that’s what Nolan was going for, and I don’t see why he wouldn’t end up succeeding. He went on to talk about the prologue’s action sequence in the air…

I think Chris had long wanted to do sort of the aerial spectacular. It’s such a good fit for the IMAX cameras that he likes to shoot with and so that was a long time in the making.
