Pinellas County residents only have a few hours left to cast their opinion in the Citizens Preference Survey. This survey is designed to help commissioners determine the public’s priorities while making this year’s budget decisions. Pinellas County residents are encouraged to make their opinions known by filling out a brief on-line survey here until 5:00 p.m. today.
Pinellas is facing another tough year of budget decisions, including the need to cut $21.5 million from the county budget next fiscal year.
“It is very important for citizens to be involved in the process,” said Tim Closterman, director of the county Communications Department. “Our citizens’ opinions are an important part of the decisions that will be made on budgetary issues.”
This on-line survey is a follow-up to a telephone survey Pinellas County conducted recently gathering input from nearly 300 respondents, allowing for more citizens to give their input beyond those who were contacted by phone.
Survey results will be posted on the Pinellas County website once they are tabulated.
