The Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce announced two endorsements Tuesday for Clearwater City Council.

After interviews with candidates, ClearPAC, the political arm of the CRCC, supports both David Allbritton for Seat 4 and Hoyt Hamilton for Seat 5 in the March 11 municipal elections.

“The Chamber’s Board of Directors recognizes the importance of Election Day to the continuing success of local business,” the Chamber said in a statement released earlier Tuesday.

“Allbritton and Hamilton have the experience and outlook to secure the growth and vitality of our local businesses,” said ClearPAC chair Judy Mitchell. “We want the business community to do everything within its power to get people out to vote.”

The CRCC represents more than 1,000 member businesses as one of the largest chambers in the Tampa Bay area. CRCC’s mission since 1922 is to improve the business environment and promote economic strength and development in the Clearwater region.
