American Crossroads features Clint Eastwood (sans chair) in an ad going up today in seven states, including Florida.
You hear his voice, but don’t see his face until the end: “In the last few years, America has been knocked down. 23 million can’t find full-time work. And we borrow $4 billion every single day, much of it from China. If someone doesn’t get the job done, you gotta hold ’em accountable. Obama’s second term would be a rerun of the first an our country couldn’t survive that. We need someone who can turn it around fast, and that man is Mitt Romney. There’s not much time left, and the future of our country is at stake.”
The ad was taped at Eastwood’s house in California.
A Crossroads official emails Mike Allen of POLITICO: Crossroads President and CEO Steven Law “was at the convention and saw the powerful things Clint said … and how well they were received by the crowd [despite] the obsessive media coverage afterward. … We got an introduction to him, and he agreed to do the spot. … It tested off the charts in focus groups in Florida and Ohio.”
