U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen:

“Carlos will be an effective Lieutenant Governor and a tremendous leader for the State of Florida. Florida Democratic Party chairwoman Allison Tant:

“Carlos Lopez-Cantera is the poster child for what is wrong with Tallahassee today, an ultra-partisan career politician who spent his time in Tallahassee putting big corporations and wealthy special interests ahead of middle class families. By choosing a partisan product of the pay-to-play culture of Tallahassee in Lopez-Cantera as Florida’s Lt. Governor, Rick Scott is proving that he is exactly the type of politician he promised he would never be — more interested in scoring political points than commonsense solutions to the problems facing Florida.”

Republican Party of Florida chairman Lenny Curry:

“Lopez-Cantera’s experience with his family business matches well with Governor Scott’s mission to be laser-focused on job growth and creating jobs that turn into careers.”

Florida Chamber of Commerce CEO Mark Wilson:

“Our experience with former Representative Lopez-Cantera is that he always put families, children, small businesses and job creation ahead of powerful special interests groups. His support for improving Florida’s business climate through improvements to our state’s education system and by supporting lawsuit abuse reform has helped position Florida as a leader in job creation and economic growth.”

Florida Chamber of Commerce EVP Dave Hart:

“Carlos Lopez-Cantera is the right leader to stand side-by-side with Governor Scott and to continue strengthening our state’s economy through job creation. He has been a passionate leader in support of creating a business climate in Florida that is second to none, and he’s committed to making gobs, growth and opportunity Florida’s number one agenda.”
