Former educator Thelma Rohan released the first TV ad in her campaign as a Republican for Florida State House District 6.
The 30-second spot from the former Bay County School Board Member and current Bay County GOP State Committeewoman highlights her efforts to keep “Christian morals in our curriculum and liberal agendas out.”
The ad, which runs throughout Bay County starting Tuesday, talks about Rohan’s conservative roots, family values and a few of her specific achievements in education, including the effort to bring a statewide initiative against Common Core educational standards.
“You always know where she stands,” the ad says. “With us and our conservative values.”
On the Bay County school board, Thelma Rohan fought to “keep Christian morals in the classroom and liberal agendas out.”
Rohan faces Jay Trumbull Jr, Mark Anderson, Norman Ray Bishop, Melissa Hagan and Brian Charles Rust Jr. in the August GOP primary.
House District 6 includes Bay County, Panama City and the surrounding area currently represented by Rep. Jimmy Patronis, has finished out his last year in the House.
