Could Republican incumbents Steve Southerland and Dan Webster be in jeopardy? POLITICO thinks so

Picking five “potential Democratic upsets to watch” in U.S. House races, POLITICO said Florida Republican Congressmen Steve Southerland and Dan Webster could be in jeopardy in November.

Among other things, Politico said there’s a “growing consensus among Democratic and Republican strategists that Southerland is suddenly in a dogfight” in his race against former state Sen. Al Lawson in a sprawling North Florida district. Also, it points to weak fund-raising by Webster in his Central Florida race against Val Demings.

Politico also singled out another Republican who has Florida ties and might be in trouble in November — California Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack, the wife of Florida Congressman and U.S. Senate candidate Connie Mack.
