Art-therapy group Creative Clay announced Monday it is joining in on the third annual Give Day Tampa Bay, a 24-hour fundraising event set for May 3 designed to boost philanthropy in the Tampa Bay area.
“Give Day Tampa Bay is a wonderful opportunity for the community to support the work of the many nonprofits in the area. Our goal is to raise funds for our programs that serve people of all ages with developmental disabilities and increase our footprint to provide art access for all,” Creative Clay CEO Kim Dohrman said.
Creative Clay aims to make the arts accessible to people with developmental, physical and emotional disabilities, as well as people in health care settings, children and veterans. The group also provides outreach art experiences in the community.
The group will raise funds jointly with Community Action Stops Abuse, or CASA, on Give Day. The two organizations will hold a raffle at Green Bench Brewing in the EDGE District of St. Petersburg from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., attendees will get a ticket for each $25 donation.
Last year, $1.75 million was raised for 550 Tampa Bay area nonprofits on Give Day. All money raised is pledged to stay in the Tampa Bay community, and donations to any participating organization are tax deductible.
Those interested in giving can do so at the Give Day Tampa Bay website, GiveDay.org.
