Creative Loafing Returns

Yes, that is a subtle jab at The Weekly Planet, which is changing its name back to Creative Loafing. Evidently, the Planet’s staffers endure too many Superman jokes and so they are returning to their original masthead. Of course, the latest title in the Superman movies is Superman Returns, hence Creative Loafing Returns. That sucked didn’t it.

What doesn’t suck is the Weekly Planet/Creative Loafing. I only wish there was more content in it, especially more local content. I once wrote book reviews for the Planet and wish they would have let me keep that gig. Unfortunately, someone in Atlanta, where Creative Loafing is headquartered, got the job. Or whatever. Maybe people were tired of me bragging about Chuck Pahalniuk.

I would be remiss if I didn’t slurp the Political Whore, who does more for LOCAL POLITICS in 600 words then the entire political staff at the Times does in a week worth of columns.
