St. Pete residents can get a sampling of what some of the cityās most unique restaurants have to offer. Creative Loafing is hosting āMeet the Chefsā at Green Bench Brewery in the Edge District near downtown St. Pete next Wednesday.
The event is set to kickoff the cityās first St. Pete Restaurant Weekend featuring more than 25 restaurants offering three course meals offering the best chefs have to offer.
At the kickoff event December 9 chefs from a variety of restaurants will offer small samplings of various dishes that make each destination one of a kind. Each sample includes an appetizer, soup, salad or entree and will be paired with one of Green Bench Brewing Coās craft brews.
Foodie heaven begins at 6 p.m. for a limited number of guests. Pre-sale tickets can be ordered here for $40. If seating is available admission the day of the event is $45.

Guests can receive one small plate from each vendor as well as a 4 ounce beer sample.
The Food beginning next Friday includes a set $30 charge for a three course meal at any of more than 25 participating locations.
