Even though his chances of winning the GOP nomination keep slipping away, Charlie Crist took a break from attacking Marco Rubio to attack Kendrick Meek.
The Charlie Crist for U.S. Senate campaign today released the below statement from Communications Director, Andrea Saul, in advance of Rep. Meek’s campaign events in Orlando, FL tomorrow:
“As Rep. Meek campaigns in Orlando to discuss the economy, I’m sure he won’t tell Florida voters about his support of tax and spend economic policies. Most recently, Rep. Meek supported the government takeover of our health care system, including government mandates and massive tax increases. And he has previously been on the side of more taxes and more spending, having voted for everything from the repeal of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts to a budget resolution that constituted the largest tax increase in history.
“At a time when Floridians need to keep as much of their hard earned money as possible, Rep. Meek has made it painstakingly clear that he supports the liberal Obama-Reid-Pelosi tax and spend agenda.
“Rep. Meek has continually put the Democrat Party and their failed economic policies above doing what is in the best interest of Florida, and he has shown that he is no friend to businesses or Florida taxpayers.”
