State Rep. Dane Eagle raised $31,200 last month, but also has attracted another Republican challenger, the third opponent in his re-election bid for Lee County’s House District 77, according to the Florida Division of Elections.
Eagle faced controversy in April after allegedly driving under the influence at a Tallahassee traffic stop.
To date, Dane Eagle raised $147,040 overall for his campaign through May 31. At the same time, Cape Coral Republican Brandon Ivey filed a campaign account to run against Eagle for the HD 77 seat. Filing earlier were Republicans Terry Bowen Cramer III from North Fort Myers and Jim Roach from Cape Coral.
The qualifying period for statewide races is June 16 to June 20.
