@DanGelber calls on @CharlieCristFL to issue executive order for state’s unemployed

State Senator Dan Gelber (D-Miami Beach) on Tuesday called on the Governor to immediately issue an executive order:

“If the Republican leadership of the Florida Legislature continues on its ill fated course of failure to meet the needs of our state’s unemployed, I call on the governor to immediately issue an executive order. The governor needs to stand up when the people’s representatives fail to meet their obligations to those they represent. Surely, a quarter of a million out of work Floridians are deserving of the same representation the special interests appear to get.

On behalf of the voiceless, the hard working people of this state who are about to be cut off from benefits which they have rightfully earned and to which they are rightfully entitled, I urge the Governor to act in all due haste.”
