Darden Rice, candidate for St Petersburg City Council District 4, announced today her endorsement by three sitting Council members. Darden’s press release shared the kind words her hopeful colleagues have for her candidacy.
Charlie Gerdes, District 1, touted Darden’s work ethic and her plan for working with the city saying, “Darden Rice has been working to make our City a better place day by day for the better part of her adult life. Darden knows how to effectively and thoughtfully work to find solutions and build consensus to achieve real results. Darden is exactly the kind of policy maker that St. Petersburg needs to have to continue to thrive.”
She received similar accolades from Jeff Danner, District 8, and Karl Nurse, District 6.
Danner touted Rice’s advocacy for job building and public safety. ” She is not afraid to dig deep into complex issues and serve as a knowledgeable advocate for transportation issues critical to our future,” Danner said. “I have no doubt she will be the best choice for District 4 and will be a hard working and effective public servant to serve the citizens of St. Pete.”
Likewise, Nurse went to bat for Rice on a personal level, saying, “If I was trying to make the world a better place and could only choose one person as a partner in the effort, Darden Rice would be the person. Her brains, creative thinking, and positive energy make for great results.”
