Darryl Rouson to address Suncoast Tiger Bay Club

in The Bay and the 'Burg by

Though the Suncoast Tiger Bay Club has been hit or miss over the years – its members’ hot takes coming up more like “medium,” “mild,” or “scripted” at times – there are few Pinellas pols more guaranteed to stir up heated debate than Republican-turned-Democrat Rep. Darryl Rouson of St. Pete.

The fourth-term lawmaker is sure to get peppered with questions about his possible state Senate ambitions, unorthodox views (for a Democrat) on medical marijuana, and his role in that rumored anti-Minority Leader Mark Pafford “coup-over” Matt Dixon is always talking about.

The powwow will take place Tuesday, September 29 at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club on 11 Central Ave. in lovely Downtown St. Pete.

The meeting will begin with a designated period for “networking” beginning at 11:30 before moving on to the scheduled program scheduled for noon until 1:15 p.m.

The deadline to reserve your spot to see the man party insiders call the de facto leader of Democratic caucus out-group “The Pirates” is Friday the 25th at noon.
