The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is launching a paid grassroots campaign urging Congressman Steve Southerland to end the government shutdown.

The DCCC’s automated phone calls will connect Floridians directly to Congressman Southerland so they can tell him to “end the shutdown, stop the nonsense and focus on common sense solutions that protect our health care and grow our economy.”

An example of the call script running against Congressman Southerland is below:

While you were sleeping, Congressman Steve Southerland shut down the government. You heard that right. But even worse – Congressman Southerland is still getting paid – and he’s just not listening to our frustration. All because of his demand to take away your benefits and protect insurance company profits.

Press 1 to be connected with Congressman Southerland and tell him to end the shutdown, stop the nonsense and focus on common sense solutions that protect our health care and grow our economy.
