DCCC to target Carlos Curbelo, 18 incumbents in Labor Day digital campaign

in 2017/Top Headlines by

Over the approaching Labor Day weekend, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee will target vulnerable Congressional Republicans using labor issues such as the minimum wage and overtime.

As reported by Roll Call, the 18 GOP incumbents include first-term U.S. Rep. Carlos Curbelo of Florida’s 26th Congressional District.

The campaign will comprise of sponsored tweets, targeted to voters in races Democrats hope to pick up in California, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Pennsylvania and others. According to Roll Call, the tweet will look like a coupon “good for one sellout on issues that matter to working families.”

Although Rothenberg & Gonzales Political Report/Roll Call rates most of the races on the DCCC list as “Competitive,” some contests are not included — like Congressmen John Katko of New York and Will Hurd of Texas. Roll Call rates those two a “Tossup.”
