Democratic consultant Kevin Cate clearly has plans to take me out

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. That’s one of the most important takeaways from the Godfather movies. It’s also one that Democratic consultant Kevin Cate has taken to heart.

For Halloween, Cate took the bold step of dressing up as Gaston, the main antagonist in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Cate’s provocative decision comes less one week after my family posted this photo of me dressed up as the Beast.

What other message can be taken away from Cate’s dressing up as Gaston other than he is planning to take me out?

Remember, this is what Gaston sung in the movie:

[Gaston:] The Beast will make off with your children.
[Mob:] {gasp}
[Gaston:] He’ll come after them in the night.
[Belle:] No!
[Gaston:] We’re not safe till his head is mounted on my wall! I
Say we kill the Beast!
[Mob:] Kill him!

And that kind of attitude led to this:

But here’s a warning to Cate and the rest of his clan — keep in mind what happened to Gaston when he took on Beast:

In other words, Kevin, be our motherf*cking guest.
