Democrats hitting Mitt Romney hard in Florida

It’s not just Newt Gingrich who’ll be spending big to hit Mitt Romney ahead of Florida’s Republican presidential primary.

A pair of powerful labor unions and pro-Barack Obama super PACs are now training seven figures’ worth of negative advertising at the former Massachusetts governor.

The latest volley comes today, as the Service Employees International Union and super PAC Priorities USA Action are blasting Romney in a new radio campaign as disingenuous and “two faced” in his dealings with Latinos – seeking their political support but embracing policies that hurt them.

The campaign, which is running in the Tampa and Orlando radio markets, is a “six-figure buy” split between the two organizations, said Paul Begala, a senior adviser to Priorities USA Action.
