Representative Jim Frishe, candidate for Florida State Senate, announced the endorsement of current Pinellas County State Senator Dennis L. Jones.  Senator Jones joins a growing list of local mayors, state legislators, and community leaders endorsing Frishe as the Republican candidate for former Senate District 16.

“I have been honored to represent Pinellas County in Tallahassee for many years.  In that time, I have had the pleasure of working with Jim Frishe on beach renourishment and countless other local issues.  Today, I’m pleased to endorse Jim because I have seen first hand how hard he works to represent the needs of Pinellas County.”

“Like me, Jim understands that it’s not about Republican or Democrat, it’s about representing your constituents’ best interests and being an independent voice when need be.  With Jim’s experience and work ethic, Pinellas County will continue to be well represented in Tallahassee for years to come,” Jones said.

“Senator Jones has a long history of standing up for Pinellas County and protecting our local beaches.  Having served over 30 years in the Legislature, Senator Jones knows what it takes to succeed and to win on the issues that matter to your constituents.  I am honored to receive his endorsement and hope to follow in his footsteps as a champion of our local treasures.”
