Deveron Gibbons refunds contributions from indicted supporter Tom Coehlo

St. Petersburg mayoral candidate Deveron Gibbons refunded two contributions from prominent supporter Tom Coehlo, a local businessman arrested on fraud charges in early July.

I previously wondered why the Times had not written about the connection between Gibbons and Coehlo, who hosted a fundraiser for Gibbons in March and was listed as a major supporter of Gibbons:

Certainly Gibbons is embarrassed enough by the Coehlo connection that he believed it necessary to refund the contributions.
