Direct mail round-up: Bill Foster’s allies throw the kitchen sink at Rick Kriseman

in Uncategorized by

With four days left before Election Day, the desperation of St. Petersburg mayor Bill Foster’s allies is readily apparent. On Thursday, this voter received two attack mailers from outside interest groups. Down by at least six points in two recent, public polls, Foster’s camp is doing anything and everything it can to discredit Rick Kriseman.

Their efforts may be a case of too little, too late.

A source coordinating the efforts of one of the outside groups attacking Kriseman told me yesterday that, “It’s over” for Foster.

Even if that were so, that’s not stopping Accountability in Government, Inc., and Voter Interest Group from smacking Kriseman on the way out the door. The most ridiculous charge in these mailers is the part about, “According to the Tampa Bay Times, Rick Kriseman has a problem with the truth.” Riiiggghhhttt, the Times is anti-Kriseman.

But, hey, consultants and printers have to eat, right?

Here’s the mailer from Accountability in Government, Inc.:
