Does Kendrick Meek have a problem with Democrats?

in Statewide by

That’s what I have been saying for a long time and that appears to be what the Crowley Political Report is suggesting:

Some say they have seen little evidence of Congressman Meek at Democratic Clubs, in the condos or anywhere else for that matter.

That’s probably a bit unfair. Democrats always complain they haven’t seen enough of their candidate. What is probably closer to the truth is that few Democrats outside of District 17 know much about Meek.

Plus, it’s hard for any candidate to be heard over the considerable drama being made by his U.S. Senate campaign rivals, independent Gov. Charlie Crist and Republican Marco Rubio.

Still, Meek’s campaign is perceived to have little thrust and some prominent Democrats have suggested they might support Crist.

In an earlier post, CPR talked about the potential impact on the campaign if former Congressman Robert Wexler backs Crist.

Post on Politics is reporting that Lori Parrish, the popular Democratic Broward County Property Appraiser, is talking about voting for Crist. Here’s what she told the Post:

Peter Schorsch is the President of Extensive Enterprises and is the publisher of some of Florida’s most influential new media websites, including SaintPetersBlog.com, FloridaPolitics.com, ContextFlorida.com, and Sunburn, the morning read of what’s hot in Florida politics. SaintPetersBlog has for three years running been ranked by the Washington Post as the best state-based blog in Florida. In addition to his publishing efforts, Peter is a political consultant to several of the state’s largest governmental affairs and public relations firms. Peter lives in St. Petersburg with his wife, Michelle, and their daughter, Ella.
