Doug Guetzloe was found guilty Wednesday afternoon of failing to file tax returns — the latest setback for the Central Florida political consultant, writes Amy Pavuk.
A 12-member jury deliberated for roughly 30 minutes before finding Guetzloe guilty of two misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file tax returns. He remained expressionless as the verdict was read.
Guetzloe faces as much as two years in federal prison and will be sentenced May 21.
“My family and I are very disappointed in the outcome of the trial this week,” Guetzloe stated in an email.
