St. Pete City Council member-elect Ed Montanari is officially done with any campaign-related work as a result of his un-contested bid for the District 3 seat being vacated by Council member Bill Dudley due to term limits.
According to his campaign treasurer’s termination summary, Montanari has zeroed out his campaign coffers with more than $39,000 in returned contributions and various final expenses.
In all Montanari returned $33,862.81 to 194 supporters, including himself, which was not spent during campaigning.
That represents more than 80 percent of his total $48,475 raised.
Montanari cut a final check to Poli Solutions Consulting in St. Pete for $5,000 for consulting services. He spent another $214 for office and phone services at Executive Center Suites.
Montanari will take over for Dudley next year when he is inaugurated for what many consider a post long overdue for the commercial airline pilot.
The refunds to supporters were pro-rated to represent how much each person contributed. Refunds ranged from $3.49 all the way up to $689.55.
