Elections Commission wants Brian Pitts, aka Justice 2 Jesus, to pay up

The Florida Elections Commission last week filed a case in Leon County Circuit Court to try to force man-about-the-Capitol Brian Pitts to pay a $1,000 fine for failing to file a campaign-finance report, reports the News Service of Florida.

Representing a group called Justice-2-Jesus, Pitts is a familiar figure at legislative committee meetings, testifying on a wide range of issues. But the Elections Commission contends that Pitts failed to file a campaign-finance report for the group and that he should pay a $1,000 fine.

An administrative law judge sided with the commission in January.
