Elections complaints against Pinellas School Board candidate dismissed

The Florida Elections Committee determined that two election campaign complaints against Pinellas County School Board candidate Elliot Stern were “legally insufficient,” and have therefore been dismissed.

Running against Janet Clark in the District 1 countywide seat, Stern beat out two other challengers, Jim Jackson and Shelly Ladd-Gilbert in the primary.

Stern said he was thankful the complaints have been dismissed, “I’m appreciative that they got back as quickly as they did and that we’ve been absolved of any wrongdoing because that’s not our style,” he said. “I’m glad it’s over. Now on to the election Nov. 6.”
