Carole Crist, wife of Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist, is tired of waiting, and she is ready to tell it like it is.
What she has to say is this – Rick Scott “scares” her.
In an email to supporters, Crist has yet to see Scott govern with the best interests of Florida women in mind, especially his emphatic belief that Roe vs. Wade be overturned.
More frightening than that is Scott’s determined effort to “poke holes” in the landmark abortion case at “every chance he gets.”
Instead of vetoing the bill requiring women to undergo transvaginal ultrasounds prior to an abortion — a bill Crist’s husband vetoed as governor — Scott signed it into law in 2011, forcing a medically unnecessary and invasive procedure on Florida women.
On top of that, Scott actually celebrated the signing with a party at the governor’s mansion.
Charlie Crist believes no politician should come between a woman and her doctor.
Carole Crist simply cannot stomach another four years of Scott’s nonsense, and she thinks Florida women shouldn’t either.
Can’t get talk much plainer than that.
