Email Insights: FDP welcomes Chris Christie to Florida

in Uncategorized by

In an email to reporters, the Florida Democratic Party is welcoming New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie by offering a bit of friendly advice.

Sunshine is the best disinfectant, says FDP spokesperson Joshua Karp, and Christie should get as much of it as he can while in Florida.

Next week, scandal-plagued Christie will visit the Sunshine State to help raise money for his “scandal-plagued colleague” Gov. Rick Scott at an event in Naples. Then it is off to the sights of West Palm Beach and Orlando, prior to Christie headlining a series of fundraisers for the Republican Governor’s Association.

Karp, who calls the break from damage control “heartwarming,” says some may see Christie’s visit as (wink, wink) “a bridge too far.”

Droll …

At least Karp took the “high road” by not working in a comment on how Christie turned New Jersey into the “Olive Garden State,” or sneaking in a few other fat jokes.
