Erin Grall campaign announces Joe Negron endorsement in House race

in Statewide/Top Headlines by

Attorney Erin Grall has announced that prominent Republican lawmaker state Sen. Joe Negron has endorsed her candidacy for House District 54.

“It is very exciting to launch our campaign with the endorsement of Senator Negron,” said Grall in a Thursday statement.

“It is truly an honor to earn the endorsement of a public servant we know so well and one so universally respected. Senator Negron’s record is an example of conservative solutions leading to opportunity, hope, and a future for our community. I am truly humbled by his support, look forward to his advice and counsel, and hope to make him and District 54 proud,” she concluded.

Erin Grall, managing partner at Grall Law Group in Vero Beach, is facing off against three other candidates in a GOP primary for the seat being vacated by state Rep. Debbie Mayfield due to term limits.

As of a February 28 campaign finance deadline, Grall leads Realtor Lange Sykes — who entered the race a month before Grall — in early fundraising figures by around $53,000 to $47,000 in what looks at the moment to be an intriguing 4-way race; Vero Beach Vice Mayor Jay Kramer jumped into the fray along with minister Dale Glading. So far neither Kramer nor Glading has reported raising substantial contributions.

District 54 comprises a coastal swath of both Indian River and St. Lucie counties, including the cities of Vero Beach, Sebastian and St. Lucie Village.
