The Federation of Manufactured Home Owners of Florida (FMO) has endorsed Jack Latvala for state Senate. The FMO is the largest organization of mobile home residents in Florida.
“I am pleased to learn that you have qualified by petition to run for the Florida Senate in District 16. This is a tribute to your previous public service in the Senate and your future constituents understand the value of returning you to the Legislature” said Charlie Gallagher, president, Federation of Manufactured Home Owners of Florida, Inc.
Gallagher added in his endorsement letter: “You have been a consistent advocate and supporter for residents living in mobile home parks and manufactured home communities. Two bills you sponsored during your previous time in the Senate have continued to help our members. Both the mobile home tie-down program to strengthen and reinforce our homes against hurricane damage and the Mobile Home Relocation Act to assist when residents are displaced due to a park closure continue to provide direct benefit to some of our most vulnerable members.”
Latvala greatly appreciated this endorsement.
“I am honored to have the endorsement of the FMO. Mobile home residents often get overlooked and I was a voice for them when I served previously. Even though many mobile home residents are not members of the same political party as I am, I never asked what political party someone belonged to when they called me for help. I look forward to being a voice for all residents of Senate District 16, whether they are Republican, Democrat, or Independent,” Latvala said.
