Corporate donors to Gov. Rick Scott’s inauguration gave more than $1 million, according an updated list of contributors released Friday by the Republican Party of Florida.
Leading the 21 donors are Lake Buena Vista-based Disney Worldwide Services and Tampa’s TECO Energy, each chipping in $25,000 for events surrounding Scott’s re-election. State University System Chancellor Marshall Criser III gave another $5,000.
The last-minute contributions bring the total to $1,013,700, says the RPOF.
Tallahassee-based groups contributing include Florida Health Care PAC, Council for Senior Floridians, Our Florida Elders Count, Lakeland Investors LLC, and Florida Bankers Association PAC. Other donors added to the list include HBA Corporation of Fort Lauderdale; HCR Manor Care of Toledo, Ohio; A Duda & Sons of Oviedo; Property Casualty Insurers Association of America of Chicago; Baptist Health South in Miami; Magellan Health in Maryland; Altria Client Services of Richmond, Virginia; and Motorola Solutions PAC from Washington, D.C.
