George LeMieux today announced five state legislators endorsing his campaign for United States Senate. Senator Evelyn Lynn and Representatives Larry Ahern, Jim Boyd, Steve Crisafulli, and Erik Fresen make a total of 31 state legislators supporting LeMieux.

“From endorsements to straw poll victories, support for our campaign continues to grow,” said George LeMieux. “The momentum we are gaining can be felt throughout Florida. I am incredibly grateful for the state legislators’ support and am looking forward to working with them to spread my message of fiscal conservatism across the state.”

Senator Evelyn Lynn – R- Ormond Beach: “George LeMieux has proven that he will represent Florida well in the US Senate. He possesses both the integrity and experience that are so badly needed in Washington D.C. in order to get things done. While serving in the Senate, George listened to Floridians every step of the way and offered real, common sense solutions to the difficult problems facing our state and nation. We need real leadership in Washington and that’s why I’m supporting George LeMieux for US Senate.”

Representative Larry Ahern – R- Seminole: “George LeMieux is a man of conviction who isn’t afraid to stand up for what is right. While serving in the US Senate, he voted against raising the debt ceiling, introduced legislation to balance the budget, and worked to protect our borders. I am proud to support George LeMieux for Senate because he has proven that he will stand up and be the much needed voice for common sense and fiscal responsibility in the United States Senate.”

Representative Jim Boyd – R- Bradenton: “There is no doubt that our nation is facing challenging times. As a candidate for US Senate, George LeMieux possesses a unique skill set of both private sector experience and the know how to break through the Washington gridlock and accomplish what is necessary to get our state and our nation back on the track to economic prosperity. George is the only proven job creator in this race, and understands that the free market can only truly thrive when the government removes the regulatory roadblocks that hinder economic growth. As a businessman myself, I am proud to endorse George LeMieux in his race for U.S. Senate.”

Representative Steve Crisafulli – R – Merritt Island: “Floridians cannot afford to forget that the demise of the Space Program has come on Senator Bill Nelson’s watch. Bill Nelson stood idly by while President Obama all but shuttered the Human Space Flight Program, which has led to the loss of thousands of jobs across our region and the hemorrhaging of intellectual capital from our state. We need a Senator who believes that America should remain a leader in space exploration. George LeMieux fought for Space Coast families while serving in the Senate and I am confident he will be a strong voice for us when he returns. I am proud to endorse George LeMieux for the US Senate.”

Representative Erik Fresen – R – Miami: “George LeMieux’s time in Washington proved he is an incredibly effective Senator, strong on both economic and foreign policy issues and always guided by conservative principles. He showed us that he knows what it takes to create certainty and fiscal restraint so that Florida families are less strained by our government and businesses can create jobs. I’m confident that George will represent all Floridians with integrity and resolve. That is why I’m endorsing him for the United States Senate.”
