“Fla Dems hold convention in Tampa – and it was sorta sad”

That’s Adam Smith’s description of the convergence of Florida Democrats to elect delegates to the national convention in Charlotte, N.C. Sept. 2.

“Given the state of the party in Florida these days, it’s probably unavoidable that even when they try to hold an upbeat event, it can come off as a downbeat reminder that the party represents yesterday far more than today in Florida,” writes Smith.

I, myself, had planned on covering this event, but I decided to go a pool party instead.
