Florida Chamber endorses John Couriel for Senate District 35

The Florida Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce it has endorsed John Couriel for Senate District 35.  This endorsement follows a comprehensive and deliberative review of candidates running for Senate District 35 which includes parts of Miami-Dade County.

“John Couriel understands that to secure Florida’s future, businesses need the ability to grow and all Floridians deserve a cost-effective, market-minded and fiscally responsible government,” said David Hart, Executive Vice President for the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “John Couriel brings a new and energetic voice to Senate District 35 and is committed to helping build a stable and predictable business climate that is needed for private-sector job creation.”

A former prosecutor, John Couriel has a record of rooting out government waste and can make the bold legislative decisions that will help create a healthy business climate. A Harvard graduate, Couriel has demonstrated a lifetime of devotion to public service, such as spearheading his law firm’s mentoring program for underprivileged youth when he was in private practice.

“I believe that Florida’s future prosperity demands decisive action in the coming years to attract 21st Century businesses to our state, educate a globally competitive workforce, and ensure that we remain a place people want to visit and live,” said Couriel.
