Florida Dems fundraise "to make sure every ballot gets counted" in Jacksonville recount

Jacksonville mayoral candidateAlvin Brown hasn’t quite declared victory yet as election officials continue with the recount of a race that has the two candidates separated by 603 votes, but Democrats aren’t waiting to take advantage of a potential rally-the-troops moment, reports Kathleen Haughney. Democratic Party executive directorScott Arceneaux sent an e-mail out to supporters noting that Brown would be the first Democrat in more than 20 years to hold the Jacksonville mayor’s office and asked for donations to the party “to make sure every ballot gets counted” in the recount.
