Don't so freely give Florida a pass. The 2010-2011 Federal government report showed Florida as the 4th highest state in the amount of funding they received back from the feds and 46 or 47 in the rankings as to expenditures per student. Florida is WAY TOO TOP HEAVY in administration $$ all the way from Tally to the local school districts. Too many assistant superintendents and far too many employees who know or do nothing. No one ever has answers and you get transferred in a phone call request no less than 4 times per call. We in the education realm of life are a failure in Florida with our non-educator legislators to our non-educator State School Board who has been given an enormous amount of power by those non-educator legislators who are also willing to dump the produced by non-educators Common Core on our "trying to get educated children".
