Florida GOP likens Rick Scott to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln

Caught this Tweet this morning from the Republican Party of Florida:

@FloridaGOP: As we remember the legacies of Washington, Lincoln and Reagan, support conservative leaders like @FLGovScott who are following their lead.

Puh-leeze.

As I remember the legacies of George Washington, Founder of the Country, and Abraham Lincoln, the Great Emancipator, pretty much the last politician I think about is Gov. Rick Scott, the Great Denier of High Speed Rail.

Not even Scott’s most ardent supporters, save those he is paying at RPOF headquarters, would liken the man to Washington, Lincoln or Reagan.

At best, and I am being very generous here, Scott will be remember as a turnaround governor who helped “put Florida back to work.”  Again, that’s me being very, very generous.

But to mention Scott in the same sentence as Washington, Lincoln and Reagan? I don’t even think Ann Scott would do that and she’s  married to the guy.
