Florida House Democratic Caucus meeting on Tuesday

Democratic Leader Ron Saunders (D-Key West) has called an informal meeting of the Florida House Democratic Caucus that will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 11) in the caucus conference room, 316 The Capitol.

Guest speakers for the event include: Rod Smith, the newly elected chairman of the Florida Democratic Party, and Anton Gunn, the Region IV director of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Region IV includes Florida and seven other states in the South. Mr. Gunn is expected to make remarks concerning The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and other health care issues of interest to Floridians.

The meeting is being held amid three days of interim House committee meetings in preparation for the Regular Session that convenes Tuesday, March 8, 2011.
