Florida’s leading advocate for pro-medicine candidates has endorsed former Broward County Mayor Kristin Jacobs in her bid for House District 96.
The Florida Medical Association PAC (FMA PAC) announced its support of Jacobs as she seeks the open seat currently held by term-limited Democratic State Rep. James W. “Jim” Waldman. House District 96, which covers parts of Broward County and the cities of Coconut Creek and Margate.
“The Florida Medical Association is proud to endorse Kristin Jacobs in her bid for Florida House of Representatives, District 96,” said FMA PAC President Dr. Ralph Nobo. “Kristin understands the difficulties Floridians face in finding access to affordable health care and will work diligently for a feasible health care system which upholds FMA’s values and protects all Americans.”
“It is an honor to be endorsed by an organization that supports the concept of high quality medical care for all Floridians,” Jacobs responded in a statement.
Jacobs, who is term-limited out as Commissioner, has been on the Broward County board since 1998, serving four terms.
