Florida Power & Light is lowering its projected fuel costs for next year by more than $400 million, a move that may mean lower bills for customers of the state’s largest electric company, reports the News Service of Florida. If the proposal is approved by regulators, FPL customers would see a drop on their bill of about $2 for 1,000 kilowatt hours starting in January. The company said market prices for natural gas are trending lower than expected.
