“Florida’s first responders put their lives on the line for us every day” said Representative Clemens. “The least we can do is fight for them when it really counts. I will continue to be a voice for them in the Florida Senate.”
Rep. Clemens, who is running for the newly created State Senate seat in central Palm Beach County, has spent his two years in the House working with members of both parties to improve conditions and protect promised benefits for first responders. He has led the charge as the only freshman Ranking Member of a full committee in the House, the State Affairs Committee.
“Representative Jeff Clemens has been one of our loudest voices for the hard work and dedication of our first responders,” said FPF President Gary Rainey. “Jeff’s support allows us to do our job and protect thousands of communities throughout Florida, while knowing that he has our back.”
The Florida Professional Firefighters represent 25,000 firefighters and paramedics throughout the state. This award is given to one member of the 120-person Florida House of Representatives each year.
