Former Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp has a new job, as chief executive officer of VR Laboratories, which develops and makes plant-based medicine and natural ingredients for foods and beverages, according to the News Service of Florida.

Kottkamp, an attorney, is also a former state House member from Cape Coral, and served as lieutenant governor for four years, while Charlie Crist was governor. “VR Laboratories will bring more than 200 new jobs and an estimated $40 million annually into Lee County’s economy,” Kottkamp said in a statement. “Southwest Florida is my home and to facilitate the growth of this organization and establish its presence in Lee County is truly an honor. This is where we will do business and create jobs. Ultimately, we want to contribute to making Southwest Florida the center of the burgeoning global botanical pharmaceutical market.”

Yeah, yeah, yeah.
